LG ThinQ AI Smart Home Ecosystem

Led product strategy for LG ThinQ, building a unified AI-powered Smart Home ecosystem that seamlessly connected mobile, smart appliances, home robotics, and intelligent automation. Defined the product vision and ecosystem roadmap to deliver multimodal experiences across connected devices while collaborating with AI, software, and hardware teams from concept through commercialization.

Research

A user survey was conducted on families with children in the U.S.

and multigenerational households, including townhouses in

California, where advanced smart homes and smart appliances

are fully installed.

Planned and designed all scenarios and voice commands for Google-connected LG appliances, developed by the LG
engineering team and integrated with Google AI.

Challenge

Consumers had to manage disconnected appliances, mobile apps, and emerging home robotics through fragmented interfaces. LG needed a unified AI platform that could seamlessly connect devices, automation, and intelligent services into a single Smart Home experience.

Objective

Defined the long-term product strategy and ecosystem roadmap for LG ThinQ, designing a scalable AI platform that unified mobile control, smart appliances, home robotics, and intelligent automation into a seamless multimodal experience.
