Overview
Shared Canvas: Gesture-Based Drawing Across Distance
Inspired by a desire to stay connected with my nieces and nephews across distance, this experimental drawing experience enables people to create together in real time. Featuring watercolor-inspired visuals and gesture-based interactions, it was designed to work seamlessly across AI displays, TVs, tablets, and connected devices.

Challenge
Studying abroad kept me from seeing my two nieces and nephew for a long time, and I wanted to create a way for us to enjoy drawing together remotely despite the distance.
Objective
Design an interactive drawing experience using watercolor-style visuals, vivid colors, and finger-point gestures so children can draw, clear, and switch canvases intuitively and playfully.
Result
Created a shared creative space that allowed people across distance to draw, connect, and collaborate in real time, transforming drawing into a natural and engaging social experience.
